Jusdyn Krenz, R.N.
Jusdyn Krenz started as a part-time nurse with CarePro two years ago, and now works full-time in intake. He loves to spend one-on-one time with his patients, and when he’s not working, he loves to hang out his twin son and daughter or take it easy with a book or movie.
1) Where did you go to school?
Graduated high school from Tipton. My first job ever was at the Snyder Drug in Tipton, now known at CarePro Tipton Pharmacy. I knew Todd Miller when he was just out of college! I graduated nursing school from Kirkwood Community College.
2) How many years have you been working for CarePro?
Just over 2 years at CarePro…. I started here as a part-time job during the week while I continued to work at UIHC in Iowa City… I started in Dec. 2008 and, by Feb 2009, I was asking Cheryl if she had a full-time position in Infusion Nursing. I was full-time by March.
3) What’s one of your favorite things about your job?
In the beginning of my career at CarePro, I was hooked on the “one on one” with the patients. I could spend as much time with the patients as was clinically needed. As a hospital staff nurse, I felt like I did not get to develop a healing relationship with the patients. I felt like I made a difference as a home care nurse.
Switching to Intake, I still carry that feeling of helping patients one on one. The CarePro team (pharmacist, pharm tech, nursing, reimbursement), we all contribute your individual strengths to deliver the best homecare in the Cedar Rapids area.
4) What do you like to do on your days off?
Spend time with my twin son and daughter. Love to leisure read. Go to movies. Spend time with my parents who moved to Cedar Rapids from Tipton to be closer to us.
5) If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Hawaii!! Love to lay around a beach… sip some fruity drinks and relax. My family and I recently took a vacation to Disney World while you all were back here with BLIZZARD 2011…. It made me think that my body is not cut out for four seasons (or five seasons since I live in Cedar Rapids…haha!)
