What made you want to become a respiratory therapist?

When I was younger, my grandfather was on oxygen.  It was very hard for him to get out, and so he had respiratory therapist come to his home.  It made his life much easier.  I just thought it would be a great job to be able to go to peoples’ homes to help them.

What’s one of the most rewarding things about your job?

One of the most rewarding things about my job is after I set someone up with a CPAP or BiPAP machine and follow up with them, it’s awesome to see how they cannot believe how much better they feel.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to spend time with my husband and my four-year-old daughter.  We live in the county and have horses and goats and spend a lot of time outside.  We also like to go boating on Lake Delhi.

If you won a million dollars, how would you spend it?

If I won a million dollars, I would split it among our family, build a new house and take many vacations to someplace warm.
